The CDT in Sustainable Chemistry held its annual Winter Showcase event on 10-11 February 2025, this was a fantastic opportunity for the students to give lectures, poster presentations and discuss their research.
The event, which took place over two days at The Trent Buidling on University Park, attracted an audience of over 100 students, researchers, academics and industrial partners. The Centre was also very pleased to welcome the students from its partner institution - University College Dublin.
The event was a jam packed 2 days which included talks by final year CDT and UCD students, a very lively poster session by the CDT second- and third-year students from both the CDT in Sustainable Chemistry and students based at University College Dublin.
In addition, the event hosted three lectures including:
Protein Engineering to Biotherapeutics – Considering the Circular Bioeconomy in Bioprocessing: David O’Connell, University College Dublin
Optimisation of multiphase and multistep chemical processes: Thomas Chamberlain, University of Leeds
Biominerals: inspiration for green materials chemistry: Carole Perry, Nottingham Trent University
