From 7th of July until 11th of July 2025, several members of our new Cohort represented the CDT at the Annual Green Chemistry Summer School, held in Venice, Italy. The talks and poster sessions, both online and in person, were delivered by a plethora of captivating international academics including Philp Jessop, Queens’ University, Canda and Polina Yaseneva from University of Cambridge. Our CDT students also presented posters. Overall, it was a great opportunity to learn, network with like-minded green chemists, and visit one of the world’s most picturesque cities!

‘Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Green Chemistry Postgraduate Summer School in Venice, Italy (7–11 July 2025). I thoroughly enjoyed presenting my work, listening to lectures, and meeting other students. Thank you to the organisers, the Green Sciences for Sustainable Development Foundation’ Ronan Ozdural
