CDT student Jonathan Hunter has been awarded third place in the 'Art in Science' competition.
Nottingham Contermporary gallery hosted a final part of a three-day global festival of science 'Pint of Science'. EPSRC CDRT in Sustainable Chemistry was represented by Jonathan Hunter and his photograph titled 'Making light work of chemical reactions' which was awarded third place in the 'Art in Science' competition.
The photo featured various photochemical reactors which used in the lab. These reactors allow reserchers to develop, potentially, more environmentally friendly methods of carrying out organic synthesis in order make various materials such as medicines, fragrances and other fine chemicals.
