Last week, cohort 12 attended the XVIII edition of International Postgraduate Summer School on Green Chemistry 2026 in Venice, Italy, organised by the Green Sciences for Sustainable Development Foundation, from 6th to 10th July 2026.

The school included a series of lectures aimed at motivating young researchers to be the ambassadors of green chemistry. The event hosted researchers with diverse chemistry backgrounds and a mixture of Masters, PhDs, Post-docs and academicians from all across the globe.

Our cohort-12 PhD researchers (Joshua Brunt, Evan Shelton, Ryan Kwok, Joshua Leeson, Mathew Wheatley, Callum Sinclair-Wright, Luke Williams, Theodore Lunny and Schubert Fernandes) participated in poster presentation and presented their joint project work which they conducted in their first year of CDT. Congratulations to all the participants and a special one to Theodore Lunny and Schubert Fernandes for winning a prize for their poster.
