Ben, Ryan and Toby from Cohort 9 attended the 13th Flow Chemistry Europe Conference, held in Málaga at the start of April. The two-day event brought together world-leading researchers and industry professionals to explore the latest developments and emerging trends in flow chemistry.

Talks covered a wide range of topics, including end-to-end manufacturing in flow, process scalability and sustainability, applications in organic synthesis, as well as advances of flow chemistry in photochemistry, electrochemistry, catalysis, automation and machine learning.

All three students presented posters at the conference, showcasing their research to a diverse and international audience. Discussions with other PhD students offered a chance to share experiences and practical strategies, while conversations with leading experts in the field provided fresh perspectives and the potential for future collaboration.

Overall, the conference was an excellent opportunity for the students to connect with the global flow chemistry community, gain valuable feedback and help shape the future direction of their research.
