The Centre held its second Industrial Showcase on 27 September 2017. The event, which featured a number of interesting talks by CDT students in Chemistry, Engineering and Biosciences, covered a diverse range of topics such as: Transformation of limonene into a useful monomer; microwave pyrolysis of biomass within a liquid media; explorng the potential of chitosan in the conservation of Viking arterfacts and many more.
The event attracted approximately 100 delegates and was also an excellent opportunity for the students to present posters and discuss their research with industrial partners, University of Nottingham academics from a range of disciplines. The event concluded with the anouncement of talk and poster prizes, with best talk prizes awarded to Edward Anderson (Cohort 1) and Alexander Kuibler (Cohort 2) and prizes for best poster to Mariana Gameiro (Cohort 1) and Rhona Savin (Cohort 3).
